Lively wedding at Larnaca

Lively wedding at Larnaca

What started as a traditional Cypriot wedding soon turned into a frenetic, all night party by the sea. In a nutshell, that was the wedding ceremony of Constantinos and Andria, a young couple.

The special day began with the dressing of the dark-haired groom and the blonde, short hair bride. All their friends were there to help them get ready and celebrate. After drinking a shot or two, Constantinos was given a dazzling Rolex watch by his loved ones. Simultaneously, the house of Andria was crammed with people too. Laughter and wishes were filling the air as everybody was taking care of the obviously moved, emotional bride. She grabbed one of her Jimmy Choo shoes and wrote the names of her closest female friends on the sole. According to tradition, the girls whose names would be rubbed off the sole would soon marry their truelove.

The big moment had arrived. A herd of well-dressed people gathered outside the Agios Lazaros church. By sticking to the rite, the groom arrived a little earlier than the bride and waited for her impatiently. Finally she arrived too with a flower garland around her hand. A few moments later, it was over. They were pronounced husband and wife.

The reception was held at Galu Larnaca Seaside, a luxurious event venue by the seaside. Everything was already arranged by the experienced Little Treasures wedding planners. Furry lights brightened the atmosphere. Tasty cocktails were waiting for the guests. One of the guests wished eternal love to the couple by offering them an infinity logo gift. The soundtrack of the night was provided by Mood Indigo, a local talented jazz band.

Hours later, the party was still going strong. Everybody gathered around the dance floor. Those who couldn’t drink anymore used the hangover kit that the couple so wisely provided. Konstantinos and Elena ended up at the beach. They kissed and danced happily, holding lit cigarettes and… flares in their hands.

The next day, after the hangover succumbed, we had a photoshoot in Nicosia. We took the couple to the Parko Athhalassas natural park for some intimate and memorable snapshots. It was the perfect ending to this short yet so intense experience.
